I headed up to Antietam National Battlefield with my parents a little over a week ago. We were doing some sightseeing and staying overnight so we would be nearby when Z's flight came in early the next morning. Late in the afternoon, I got a phone call from Z, spending some unexpected time in Ghana due to a canceled flight. Things did not go according to plan but I got to spend a lovely day surrounded by rolling hills, old barns (a lifelong favorite!), and cows.
